Join us for a new and exciting way to paint! We will be using a cold wax medium with oil paints. Kristin has been teaching this unique style of painting for a number of years locally and in other areas.

Dorset buttons are an age-old craft that originated in the county of Dorset, England. These handcrafted buttons, dating back to the early 17th century, are cherished for their intricate patterns and unique charm. In modern times, Dorset buttons have experienced a resurgence in popularity, becoming a beloved hobby for crafters and textile enthusiasts alike. By attending a class in making Dorset buttons, you can immerse yourself in this delightful tradition and learn to create your own beautiful buttons. You can use these as buttons for clothing, or make them into jewelry.

STAINED-GLASS PLANT STICKS  with Heather France – Thursdays, May 1, 8, 15 and 22, 4:00 - 6:00 PM, $60 - $70 REGISTRATION CLOSED

Learn to make stained-glass plant sticks for your outdoor flower or interior plant pots. A set of three pieces including a bumblebee, a ladybug, and a gnome. Students will need to bring a shoe box and newspaper to wrap their glass.  Glasses or safety glasses and apron or smock are required. No open toed shoes. Drinks must be in a covered container.

With thanks to the Earlville Opera House for their grant which funded our recent exhibition, Working Hands, Dee Smith-Hazlett is offering this free watercolor class.  This class is open to any skill level.  All supplies will be provided and the class is limited to ten people.

Dee Smith-Hazlett dabbles in acrylics, watercolor and miniature tapestry.  She is currently secretary for BVACC's Board of Directors.

JUL - VASES WITH POURED DESIGN with Sara Albright - Date and time TBD

Join us for an afternoon of paint pouring! Using this technique, you will take a plain glass vase and turn it into your own unique work of art. All supplies will be provided. We will walk through the steps to prepare the base and you will ten select up to four colors to use, then you will create your vase. Please note that the vases will need to remain at the art center to dry for a few weeks. Then you may pick them up or Sara can get them to you, if needed. Space for this class is limited to 12 people and the cost is $50.
